NZXT Black and Red Mini ITX Gaming PC
by Duncan F Posted on: 7/27/2020Build Description
I built this PC about a year ago. I knew I wanted to build a Mini ITX PC so I could fit it on my desk with no space issues that can handle any game or AAA title at 1440p with headroom for a couple years. I mostly play Modern Warfare, Battlefront 2, Halo and Total War games, with some single player games like Tomb Raider, Witcher 3, Civ 6 and Bannerlord.
NZXT's H200 was perfect for the look, color scheme and size I wanted with the support for water cooling. Keeping an NZXT theme with my cooling solutions appealed to me to keep looks clean and consistent. I had an rgb strip laying around so I placed it below the PSU shroud to shine up through the perforations which gave off a nice underglow to the GPU.
Noise reduction was a main focus of mine since I wanted to keep the PC on my desk. I managed to pick up Chromax slim fans from Noctua for cooling for more space inside and quieter operation.
I decided to water cool both my GPU and CPU, each with their own 120mm AIO. I went with the NZXT Kraken M22 for the cpu. For my GPU, I used an NZXT G12 paired with a Corsair H55. Space between the GPU and radiator was close so I used a Noctua slim fan for a better fit.
On the back side, cable management was tough, but with the limited space I made the best of it. I wanted to make sure the front side looked clean and having a smaller power supply saved much needed space with tucking away all the excess length of cables around the PSU.
Overall I'm proud with what I've collected and build. I may upgrade my CPU and Motherboard or consider a full custom loop further down the road.

Favorite Feature
I have an NZXT G12 attached to my GTX 1080Ti, water cooled by a Corsair H55 that keeps the GPU around 26C at idle and 55C while gaming. Before, the stock air cooler was choked for airflow and the card would constantly run at 45-50C idle and 80-83C at full usage, all while being extremely noisy. Now, I have an NZXT fan controller with all Noctua fans which allow me to keep the PC whisper quiet even while gaming. This combination of cooling and silence is amazing for me since I'm able to keep such a small PC cool and quiet.
