Micro-ATX motherboard in Mini-ITX SFF case capable of some mild gaming with Ryzen 5000g series CPUs.

Build Description

I had an old Mini-ITX case which I turned into a desktop computer with potentially some gaming capability. To accommodate newer Ryzen 5000 series CPUs I selected a small Micro-ATX motherboard ($38 shipped off eBay) ASRock B450 B450M R4.0 and fit it in a tiny case. Currently it is powered by AMD Ryzen 3 2200g CPU. I paired it with 16GB DDR4-3200 memory, Intel 240GB SSD drive and 2TB WD hard drive. The plan is to add a M2 ssd drive and a MicroCenter's Ryzen 5600g or 5700g CPU. Maybe later add even a discrete graphics card. At the moment the build will be used for general purpose computing with some occasional gaming (per my son's request).

Favorite Feature

I was able to fit a relatively cheap AM4 Micro-ATX motherboard, which supports newest AMD 5000 series AM4 CPUs into a tiny Mini-ITX case.
