How to manually run a Windows Update in Windows XP

  1. Click Start and select Help and Support.
  2. Click Keep your computer up-to-date with Windows Update.
  3. Click the Express button.
  4. Click the Install Updates button.
  5. Wait for the updates to complete.
  6. Click Restart Now to finish installing the updates.
