How to insert a symbol in Microsoft Word 2010
Description: This article describes how to insert a symbol in Word 2010. Sometimes when typing documents in Microsoft Word, one may desire to insert a special character that is not accessible from the keyboard. This article describes how to do that.
- Click on the Insert tab.
- Click the Symbol button.
- If the symbol is in the drop down panel, click on it and it will be inserted. If not click More Symbols.
- Locate the desired symbol and click on it. Click the Insert button.
- Click the Close button.
- The special character has now been inserted.
