How to reset Power Settings to Default using Command Prompt
Description: This article contains steps to reset the Windows power settings back to default settings through command prompt.
- Click on Start.
- Locate the search box.
- Type in CMD then click on CMD on the top of the list.
- This will open the command prompt, type in powercfg –restoredefaultschemes then press the enter key.
- After pressing the enter key it will go to a new line, you have just reset the power settings on your computer.
