How to turn the Firewall On or Off in Mac OS X.
Description: This technical article shows how to enable or disable the firewall in Mac OS X.
Note: All incoming connections to computer will be allowed when firewall is turned off.
- Click and open System Preferences from the dock.
- Click and open Security & Privacy from System Preferences.
- Click on the Firewall tab, click the lock to make changes and then type the password to allow changes.
- Click to turn Firewall on or off and then click the lock to prevent changes.
