Description: This technical article shows how to enable or disable the firewall in Mac OS X.

Note: All incoming connections to computer will be allowed when firewall is turned off.

1. Click and open System Preferences from the dock.

2. Click and open Security & Privacy from System Preferences.

3. Click on the Firewall tab, click the lock to make changes and then type the password to allow changes.


4. Click to turn Firewall on or off and then click the lock to prevent changes.
