This guide will show you how to update your ESET Version 7 software to a newer version from within the program.

Description: This guide applies to both ESET NOD32 Antivirus Version 7 and ESET Smart Security Version 7.

1. Locate the ESET icon near the time in the lower right hand corner of the task bar. Double click on the icon to open ESET.
   
2. Locate the icon for Update on the left side menu and click on that icon.
   
3. Locate the button Check for updates under the product update category and click on that button.
   
4. ESET will check for updates and start the download for a newer version if one is available.
5. Once complete, the version on the title bar and the version number under product update will update as well. It may be necessary to restart your computer to complete this process - follow that prompt on the screen if requested.
