Microsoft Office indicates it was not activated at time of purchase

First it is best to double check that the keycode you are entering on your computer EXACTLY matches the keycode as it appears on the card. Sometimes a second set of eyes looking things over to double check is helpful. Pay particular attention to items that can inadvertently become confused, such as the number zero (0) and the letter O, the number eight (8) and the letter B, or other similar mix ups that can happen. Unfortunately, another reason that you could be experiencing this problem would be if the card was not scanned or activated properly at the time of checkout. Check that the card appears on your Micro Center receipt. Even if it does, it could be possible that the activation did not go through properly. If this happens, it is necessary to bring the card and your receipt back to the Micro Center store for further in-person assistance.
