What if I think that I have a virus on my computer

First, restart the computer and see if any initial symptoms seem to go away on their own - sometimes this will eliminate some types of popup scam virus alerts, and if no other action was taken through the fraudulent alert, restarting could make that instance of the problem simply go away.

If the issue persists, we recommend running a computer virus and malware scan through an installed antivirus, malware, or Windows Defender program. If this approach does not seem to help, you can call Technical Support for virus cleaning assistance (there is a troubleshooting fee for this type of assistance) or you can bring your computer in to a Micro Center Service Department for that type of assistance as well.
