I reinstalled Windows but all of my programs are missing

Installing or reinstalling the operating system will usually uninstall, or at least break, most programs previously installed on the computer. Programs usually have to be reinstalled after a new installation of the operating system. While data files can usually be backed up proactively for a situation like this, program files are not usually able to be backed up in a usable state for restore. If have done a Windows 10 Refresh or Reset, a list of program apps for review may appear on the desktop after completion.
