I thought Microsoft Office was included with my computer

A fully licensed version of Microsoft Office is not usually included with any new computers currently being sold. There is, however, typically a free trial version of Microsoft Office included with new Windows computers. These free trials usually have some basic files pre-installed on the system, and require you to register online with Microsoft to activate the free trial. To use Microsoft Office beyond any free trial period, it would be necessary to purchase a full product license for the program. Microsoft Office is conveniently available to purchase from Micro Center when you buy your new computer. If you have an existing trial version of Microsoft Office running on your computer you can also usually purchase a full product license for that installation online from within the trial program itself.
