My USB device works in one port but not in another port

The best course of action is to uninstall the USB drivers and let them re-detect:< br/>

  1. Navigate to your Device Manager
  2. Locate and expand Univesrial Serial Bus (USB) controllers
  3. Expand the USB host or hub and then select uninstall
  4. If a message appears to also delete the driver software, DO NOT delete the driver software
  5. Choose OK to confirm the uninstall
  6. Restart the computer to see if the USB ports are functioning. If not, you may want to take the computer in to your local Micro Center in-store service department for assistance
