Do I need to run disk defragmenter on an SSD

No, Disk Defragmenter is not intended to be run on an SSD - it is intended for regular mechanical hard disk drives. By the way they are designed to work, mechanical hard drives need to be defragmented from time to time in order to maintain peak operating performance. Because an SSD has no spinning platters or moving heads to read the data, defragmenting is not necessary, and in fact if run repeatedly could actually hasten the eventual future failure of the SSD. If you become concerned about your SSD being fragmented, Windows 10 does offer another option known as TRIM for a similar purpose.
