How can I transfer my iTunes library to a new computer

If Migration Assistant is not an option, you can use your iTunes backup. Using the Finder, locate the iTunes folder on your new Mac. You can do this by going to Go at the top bar and then selecting Home. Open the Music folder. Drag this folder onto your desktop. Using the Finder, locate the folder on your external drive that has your iTunes music. Drag that folder onto the iTunes folder you created on your desktop.
