How to set up Common Email Accounts in Outlook

Description: This article will show how to add email accounts such as Hotmail, Gmail, and Yahoo to Microsoft Outlook.

  1. Open Outlook from the Start Menu.
    Windows 10 desktop, Start Menu, Outlook
  2. Select File.
    Outlook, File menu
  3. Choose Add account.
    File menu, Account Information, Add Account
  4. Type the email address that you are wanting to add into the box and then choose Connect.

  5. Enter your password and choose Connect again
    Outlook Email Setup, Password field, Connect
  6. Once the account is successfully signed in, it will be show in the list - choose Done.
  7. Outlook will begin to sync and the inbox folder will display.
