WinBook Recovery Disc Error PC System Not Supported

This guide will help you troubleshoot the “PC System Not supported” error message when booting to a WinBook Recovery Disc.

  • There are two possible causes for this error message. The most common problem is that the incorrect disc has been inserted. First, verify that it is the first disc in the set (if applicable.)
    • It could be labeled as “Disc 1” or “Disc A” depending on the model and recovery CD Version if it is a multi-disc set.
  • Clean the disc with a soft cloth and warm water.
  • Verify that you are using the Recovery Disc that came with the WinBook computer or was created for that machine. If you have multiple WinBook computers the chances are good that they use different Recovery Discs and they could have been mixed up.
  • If the motherboard has been replaced the recovery disc will no longer work. The Windows software license allows it to be used only on the original WinBook motherboard.
  • It is possible that the BIOS has been changed or has been corrupted. The best option to resolve this issue is to visit our Online Chat service or send us an email so that we can send you an updated BIOS and instructions on how to update it.
