This guide will walk-through how to change the desktop background in Windows XP.
- Click Start and select Control Panel.
- Change the view to Category view. The Control Panel may already be in Category view.
- Select the Appearance and Themes category.
- Click Change the desktop background.
- Select the image for the desktop background.
- Click OK.
- Close the Control Panel.
