How to change the Language on a Mac

Description: Built into the Mac Operating System are over twenty different languages. This article will show you how to change them.

  1. Click the System Preferences icon along the dock.
  2. Click Language and Text.
  3. This will display a list of multiple languages. Click and drag the desired language to the top of the list.

  4. Now, close any open programs and Log off by clicking the Apple icon in the top left corner, and then click Log off <user>.
  5. When logged back on, the information will be displayed in the language selected.
