How to enable macros in Microsoft Excel 2010

Description: Macros are shortcuts for series of commands strung together. Macros by default are disabled in Microsoft Excel. This guide will walk through how to enable macros in Microsoft Excel 2010.

  1. Open Microsoft Excel by clicking Start, All programs, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel 2010.
  2. Click the File tab across the top of the page.
  3. Click the Options button.
  4. Click Trust Center on the left.
  5. Click the Trust Center Settings button.
  6. In the ensuing window click Macro Settings on the left.
  7. Select the option to Enable macros and click OK.
  8. Click OK on the options window to finish enabling macros.
