How to enable the Content Advisor in Internet Explorer 9

  1. Open Internet Explorer 9 by clicking Start, All Programs, and selecting Internet Explorer.
  2. Click the Tools icon in the upper right corner of the window.
  3. Click Internet Options.
  4. Click the Content tab.
  5. Click Enable under Content Advisor.
  6. Click the General tab in the Content Advisor Window.
    • Specific options can be edited for the content allowed in the other tabs.
  7. Click Create Password.
    • This will password protect this setting so disabling content advisor requires this password.
  8. Enter the password, confirm the password and type a password hint then click OK.
  9. Click OK on the Content Advisor Window and click OK on the Internet Options window.
  10. Close Internet Explorer and reopen to verify that the Content Advisor has been set up correctly.
