How to perform a Clean Boot in Windows 7

Description: This article will show you how to do a clean boot of Windows 7 to troubleshoot software problems.

  1. Go to the Start menu and do a search for msconfig.

  2. Click the msconfig utility.

  3. Click on the Services tab.

  4. Click the check box for Hide all Microsoft services.

  5. Click Disable all.

  6. Now click on the Startup tab.

  7. Click Disable all.

  8. Click OK.

  9. Click Restart now.
