What is User Account Control (UAC)?

User Account Control is a program that alerts a user that a program is requesting administrator permissions or when a program wants to make a change that requires administrator permissions. It controls the permission level of your user account. It was introduced in Windows Vista and has been perfected throughout Windows 7 and Windows 8.

How to disable User Account Controls in Windows 8:

  1. Open control panel by starting a search in the start screen and typing in Control Panel.

  6. Scroll the bar to the bottom or until the window says Never notify me.
