How to reposition the Taskbar in Windows 8

Description: This article will show you how to reposition the taskbar from the default bottom position to one of your choosing.

  1. Right click the taskbar and select Properties.

  2. Find the Taskbar Location on Screen drop down menu. By default the taskbar location will be set to Bottom.

  3. Selecting Left on the drop down menu will move the taskbar along the left side of the screen as shown below.

  4. Choosing Right will align the taskbar along the right side of the screen.

  5. And finally if you select Top, the taskbar will now be located at the top of the screen and all menus will open downwardly.
