How to change the Default Font for Word 2013

Description: This technical article will show how to change the default font in Word 2013.

  1. On the start page click on the icon for Word 2013.
  2. Windows Start Page, Word Icon
  3. Click on the File Tab.
  4. File
  5. Click on the small arrow in the lower left corner for Font.
  6. Font
  7. This will open up the Font menu. Select the desired font and size.
  8. Font Menu
  9. Click on Set as Default.
  10. Font Menu
  11. A confirmation window will appear. Click on the selection for: All documents based on this Normal template. Click on OK.
  12. OK to Save
  13. The setting for Font is now set to Arial.
  14. Default Font Shown
