How to add a Settings Shortcut in Windows 8

Description: With the new interface on Windows 8, it is hard for some to find the settings on their system. Here is how to make a shortcut on the user’s desktop.

  1. Go to your Desktop and Right Click on an empty space of the desktop.
  2. Choose the New > Folder option.

  3. Name the folder: All Settings .{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}.

  4. Click off the folder and now the user will have an All Settings shortcut.
