How to reset Power Management Options in Windows 8

Description: This article will show you how to reset the power management options in Windows 8.

  1. Press the Windows key on your keyboard and the letter X, choose the option for command prompt (admin).

  2. Once command prompt admin is open, enter in the following command: powercfg -restoredefaultschemes

  3. When the procedure is complete you will receive the following confirmation:
