How to transfer files from a Windows PC to Mac with Parallels

Description: This is a guide on how to migrate your files from your Windows PC to MAC running Parallels 8.

  1. Insert the Parallels Desktop installation DVD into the optical disc drive of your Windows PC.
  2. If Parallels Transporter Agent doesn't start automatically, navigate through the disc and locate ParallelsTransporterAgent.exe, double click it to launch it.
  3. Let the installer guide you through the installation.
  4. Once completed, open Parallels on your Mac then choose: File > New, then click Migrate from a PC.
  5. You will then be able to choose how you want to transfer your data, then follow the instructions.
