How to disable a Wireless Adapter in Windows 8

  1. Press the Windows key + X on your keyboard.
  2. Click on Control Panel.

  4. Change the View by: mode to Small icons.
  5. Control Panel, Small Icons
  6. Select Network and Sharing Center.
  7. Network and Sharing Center
  8. Click on Change adapter settings.
  9. Network and Sharing Center, Change Adapter Settings
  10. Right click on your Wireless adapter and click on Disable.
  11. WiFi Adapter, Disable
  12. You have now disabled your wireless adapter.
