How to turn off Background App Refresh in iOS 7

Description: This feature allows apps to refresh in the background when on wifi or cellular and also use location services. Turning off background app refresh will help preserve battery life.

  1. Go to Settings from the home screen of iPad.

  2. Go to General and then select Background App Refresh.

  3. Move the switch from right to left to toggle off. Note: Green is On and white is Off.
