How to create a Desktop Shortcut for All Tasks in Windows 8

Description: This article shows how to create an All Tasks shortcut which will provide all Control Panel tasks in one window.

  1. Press the Windows key and the letter D on the keyboard to go to the desktop.
  2. Right-click on a blank space on the desktop and select New and then Folder.

  3. Name the folder All Tasks.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}.
  4. The desktop will now have a folder called All Tasks that will list all of the Control Panel tasks in one window.
