How to disable or remove Extensions in Mozilla Firefox Windows 7

Description: If an extension is preventing Mozilla Firefox from opening follow these steps to disable it.

Make sure Firefox is completely closed before starting this. Restarting your computer will ensure it is closed.

  1. Click Start.

  2. Click Computer.

  3. Click through the folders - C:\Users\[Your Username]\

  4. Click within the address bar to edit it.

  5. Add AppData to the end then press Enter.

  6. From there click through the folders - Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\

  7. Open the only folder inside of the Profiles folder, scroll down until you see extensions.ini.

  8. Delete extensions.ini, extensions.json and extensions.sqlite.

  9. Next time you open Firefox the extensions will not be loaded and will ask you to reload them. Do not enable the corrupted extension(s).
