How to turn the Firewall On or Off in Mac OS X.

Description: This technical article shows how to enable or disable the firewall in Mac OS X.

Note: All incoming connections to computer will be allowed when firewall is turned off.

  1. Click and open System Preferences from the dock.

  5. Click on the Firewall tab, click the lock to make changes and then type the password to allow changes.
