How to erase All Settings on an iPad

Description: This article will show you how to erase all settings on an iPad. This can be useful if there is something on your device that is not working properly. This will not erase any content on the iPad, but any settings (such as wireless network) will need to be re-configured.

  1. From the home screen, tap Settings.

  2. On the left side, tap General.

  3. Scroll to the bottom of the screen on the right side.

  4. Tap Reset.

  5. Tap Reset All Settings.

  6. If you have a passcode, enter your passcode.

  7. Tap Reset.

  8. Tap Reset again.
    Reset
  9. The iPad will reset all settings, restart, and you will be taken back to the home screen.
