What is a Windows 7 Homegroup

A Windows 7 homegroup is a simple way to share music, documents, movies, and even printers between all of your Windows 7 machines connected to the same network. Whenever a Windows 7 machine is connected to a network, there will be an option to create a homegroup. Once this homegroup is created on the first computer, a password is then generated which can be entered on all other Windows 7 computers to join that homegroup. Once a computer has joined the homegroup, it has access to all of the shared files on the other computers that in the same homegroup. User access can be adjusted on each machine individually within the homegroup options.
