Description: This article will show how to modify user groups and permissions on a WinBook D5008DH DVR.

1. Right click on the preview screen and click Main Menu.
   
2. Select the admin username, enter the password and click OK. The default password for the account is 123456 if you have not previously changed it. NOTE: This prompt may not show if you are already logged in. Proceed to the next step once logged in.
   
3. Click on Configuration.
   
4. Click on Account.
   
5. Click on Add group or Modify group.
   
6. In Add Group, fill in the name of the new group, the memo and what permissions that group has.
   
7. In Modify Group, choose the group to modify in the drop down.
   
8. Make changes to the name, memo, or permissions. Note if you are attempting to remove permissions for a group and any user that is attached to the group has those permissions, the changes will get rejected. You must first remove the user from the group or remove the same permissions from the user and then remove the permissions from the group.
   
9. Click OK to save and exit, or cancel to disregard changes and exit. Caution: If you are in the modify group section, choosing delete will remove the whole group.
