How to create a Dashboard Widget to a Webpage in Mac OS X El Capitan

Description: This article will show how to create a dashboard widget that is not in the list of applications on the Mac OS X - for example, a webpage. This is useful to customize the Dashboard.

  1. Open Safari.

  2. Navigate to the targeted website and click on File.

  3. In the File menu, select Open in Dashboard.

  4. Crop the box to the part of the website that will be shown in the widget.

  5. Click Add in the upper right hand corner when finished.
