How to uninstall an Application in Mac OS X El Capitan

Description: This article will show how to uninstall most applications in Mac OS X El Capitan. There are few exceptions where a program has its own uninstaller, however this process will work for most applications.

  1. Open Finder.

  2. Select Applications and find the app to uninstall.
    Applications
  3. Right click the app and Move to Trash.

  4. Enter your Administrative Username and Password and click OK.
    Username, Password, OK
  5. Open Trash and Empty.
    Trash
    Empty
  6. Empty the trash and the application will be removed.
