How to take Screenshots with the Game Bar in Windows 10

Description: This article will show how to use the built in Game Bar to capture screenshots in Windows 10.

  1. In an application, press the Windows key on the keyboard, and the letter G simultaneously. It will then ask Do you want to open Game Bar?. Check the box for Yes, this is a game.

  2. The game bar will open with five options. The camera icon can be selected to take a screenshot, or press the Windows key, Alt and Print Screen to take a screenshot.

  3. A notification will pop up on the side of the screen showing the screenshot has been saved.

  4. The screenshots saved by the Game Bar can be found in the following directory: %UserProfile%\Videos\Captures where %UserProfile% is your login name.
