Manor Lords joins the likes of Helldivers 2 and Dragon’s Dogma 2 as a surprise smash hit, selling more than one million copies in its first 24 hours. And it's easy to see why. Featuring a gorgeous 14th century design and in-depth customization, Manor Lords promises to be your next city building obsession.
Launched in early access on April 26th, Manor Lords lets you live the life of a medieval lord and design a city to keep your people happy. Make sure they have everything they need to survive the changing seasons, but don’t ignore the military; you never know when a rival lord may decide they want your land.
The game is available through Steam, the Epic Games Store, GOG, and Xbox PC Game Pass. If you’re ready to make your kingdom the best in the land, there’s only one question left to ask: Can my computer run Manor Lords?
Minimum System Requirements
The minimum specs are remarkably accessible, featuring processors from several generations ago as well as some older graphics cards. Most PCs should be able to handle Manor Lords at a fairly stable 30 FPS frame rate, though it's always possible to dip when a lot is happening on screen, like during battles.
CPU: Intel Core i5-4670 or AMD FX-Series FX-4350
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 or AMD Radeon RX 460 or Intel Arc A380
RAM: 8GB RAM
Storage: 100GB SSD (15GB required)
Recommended System Requirements
The recommended specs aren’t that much more intense than the minimum. While both CPU and GPU requirements are higher, they’re still a few generations old. If you’ve built or bought a PC in the past five years, you’re almost certainly set for stable frame rates at higher resolutions. Of course, if you’re still seeing hiccups, you can always lower some of the more graphically-intense settings.
CPU: Intel Core i5-7600 or AMD Ryzen 3 2200G
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 or AMD Radeon RX 580 or Intel Arc A580
RAM: 12GB RAM
Storage: 100GB SSD (15GB required)
What Early Reviews are Saying
While Manor Lords is just in Early Access - so expect a lot of changes as the game updates - reviewers who have dug into the game say it has a ton of potential and is remarkably stable for an early access game from a single developer.
Olie Welsh over on Polygon says it’s “...sophisticated and massively customizable, from its granular difficulty settings to the ease with which the player can create authentic-looking, organic layouts built from irregular plots of land.”
Whether you’re an old pro at strategy games or just getting started, it seems Manor Lords has something for everyone, no matter their PC specs.
